Bill Clinton Hitting The Campaign Trail For Hillary

She has called him her "not-so-secret weapon."

Bill Clinton will be doing his first events for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign next week, hitting the trail in New Hampshire.

The Clinton campaign announced Monday that the former president will be doing grassroots organizing events in Exeter and Nashua on Jan. 4, discussing "how Hillary Clinton will make a difference for families in the Granite State and across the country."

Bill Clinton is one of the most gifted campaigners and sought-after surrogates in the Democratic Party.

After the most recent primary debate in New Hampshire, on Dec. 19, Clinton told a group of supporters that her husband would soon be out there firing up voters.

"Starting in January, I will have my not so secret weapon here," she said. "We are going to cover as much ground in New Hampshire as we possibly can, see as many people, thank everybody who is going to turn out and vote for me and try to get some more to join me."

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump tweeted an attack Monday morning directed at the former president:

If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women's card on me, she's wrong!

Bill Clinton, who maintains a high favorability rating, was also a key surrogate for President Barack Obama's 2012 reelection bid and delivered one of the most memorable speeches at the Democratic convention:
