- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2021What an inspiring book! If someone with disabilities can become a saint, that gives hope to the rest of us. I'm waiting for this author to write a children's book. I think it would give hope to children with disabilities that they can live meaningful lives and can achieve great things.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2017A wonderful resource, clearly researched with helpful details. These wild flowers will inspire readers, especially those who also live with disabilities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just essential litterature!
Pia Matthews has written an essential book for all priests, educators and teachers and for anyone involved with disability within the Church. The book details the life of hundreds of saints who lived with disabilities or disabling illnesses or experienced disabling conditions. Each chapter has a theological introduction, illustrated with magisterial texts (very often by pope Saint John Paul II), showing that the teachings of the Church with regards to disability are far more positive and enhancing than one might think.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read although a good knowledge of Catholic terminology ...
A well researched and interesting book on Saints with Disabilities. Helpful prologues to each chapter precede the short and fascinating descriptions of the lives of these Saints. Easy to read although a good knowledge of Catholic terminology is useful. The author introduces the book with a moving and personal account of life with her disabled daughter, and her compassion and caring nature is evident in her writing.
