Two Outstanding Bills

Dear NR Friend,

This missive isn’t about any payments due. Well, not really. But it is about two truly outstanding Bills. Buckley and Rusher. Through National Review, they launched, sustained, and expanded the conservative movement, winning millions of hearts and minds, helping bring freedom to countless people around the world.

Vital to the Bills’ broad project was keeping National Review surviving and thriving. They knew there was only one way to accomplish that: By the support of subscribers and readers who believed they were in common cause with NR.

Like you are. NR today continues to rely on its friends to do what we both deeply want – to see conservatism defended and articulated and propagated, for our own sakes, and for those of our children and theirs and theirs too.

We at NRO are at the end of our Fall 2017 Webathon. It seeks to raise $200,000 to put some major muscle and plenty of umphh behind our popular and growing podcasting effort, the nuts and bolts are spelled out here.

Do you love NR? The Bills? Do you think the world is a better place for it existing – and that this 3rd rock from the sun would be an even better place were NR able to expand its means of propagation (we are in the process of creating a top-shelf, sharp, meaningful, lots-of-ears and lots-of-eyes podcast / video operation)?

How much? We look down our noses at nothing: A sawbuck, a twenty, $50 or $100, $250 or more. Numbers that have commas: Some have given $10,000, and even more (albeit in past webathons). A lot of money that (duh!) but – meaningful and very well spent.

I am asking this of you for myself, and I am sure, for Bill and Bill, no doubt watching and encouraging from a much better place, praying that the vital mission they crafted, launched, nurtured, and expanded will persist and triumph. Through NR.
