Judging by these amazing pictures, these squirrels aren't just bright eyed and bushy tailed - they're super strong, too.


The images appear to show the cute critters pumping iron in a back garden.


And what's even more nuts is that one of them even seems to be spotting his pal.

Keen photographer Max Ellis, 52, created the hilarious weightlifting scene in his garden in Teddington, south west London.


First, he uses treats for the squirrels to tempt them in.

And then he waits patiently for the exact moment to get his shot of them doing their best Arnold Schwarzenegger impression.

Max, who originally started creating the scenes for his son Gulliver, said: "It's a real 2kg weight hung on Spiderwire stealth fishing line.

"I work at a strength gym as a photographer so I get to watch and actually do a lot of these training routines.

"The upright rowing shot was the most unexpected along with the single arm shoulder press."
