Democrats have suggested that everything's on the table when it comes to rebuilding their brand. But do they mean it? Months into November's messy autopsy, party officials might not like the ugly truths members are raising behind closed doors - especially when they threaten the far-Left's sacred cows.
By all accounts, LGBT Pride Month 2025 will be conspicuously low-key. Appalled by Trump's electoral victory and alarmed by the signal voters (a.k.a. consumers) sent, major corporations that once supported Pride events have scrambled for the exits as quickly as if someone had pulled the fire alarm. These developments bring relief to normal Americans, who feel as if the playground bully astride their chests finally dismounted and fled. But, for a cadre of die-hard activists, such public retreat from progressivism's excesses represents an existential threat that must be thwarted.
A new book written by experts at Family Research Council delves into the root causes of the transgender identity phenomenon, revealing how trauma lies at the heart of why an increasing number of young people are disassociating from their biological sex.
A resolution submitted to the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) gives the nation's largest Protestant denomination an opportunity "to speak with moral clarity" against the fastest growing method of abortion, said David Closson, director of FRC's Center for Biblical Worldview and the resolution's primary author. "Currently, more than 60% of abortions in the United States are carried out using chemical abortion pills. These drugs are fatal to unborn children and pose serious health risks to women," he told The Washington Stand.
New legislation in the deep-blue Golden State could, if passed, not only normalize social gender transitions for adults but require judges to override parents who object to their children's transitions. California Assembly Bill (AB) 1084, introduced by state legislator and Democratic caucus chairman Rick Zbur, would shorten the time between when a transgender-identifying Californian seeks a legal name change to align with his or her "gender identity" and when a court must issue an order granting the name change. Current law places the process at about six weeks and requires a hearing during which others can object to the gender transition. Zbur's bill would shorten the legal process to two weeks and eliminate the hearing.
On May 18, Smith College, a historically women's institution, awarded an honorary degree to Rachel Levine, the former Assistant Secretary for Health in the Biden administration. This award from a women's college was ironic, of course, because Levine is a man. While Smith College still claims to be a women's college, they consider themselves to be "trans-inclusive," which means they accept men claiming to be women along with actual women.
