'Queen and Prince Philip' take selfie on a scooter - but is it what it seems?

The royal duo have been 'spotted' motoring around Berlin on a scooter ahead of their official visit this week

The Queen and Prince Philip have been spotted enjoying a regal recess in Berlin - and they're going lowkey, as these images show.


The monarch and her husband of 67 years managed appeared to have managed to get away from it all before their official visit to the German capital, which starts today and runs until Thursday.


Pictures apparently show Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip secretly travelling on their own.


But they're actually a cunning duo of lookalikes organised as a PR stunt by Airbnb.

Shown in a stylish loft in Wedding, Berlin, it's likely the pair were given lots of exciting insider tips on what to explore in the city.

The Royal twosome may have shared authentic dishes such as “Currywurst-Pommes” and “Buletten”, which are typical Berlin sausages, fries and meatballs.

And rumour has it that the couple was particularly fond of the Berlin beer.

And although the real Her Majesty only travels with a personal driver, some Berliners were said to have spotted her on the subway.

The two even got a little adventurous and went for a motor scooter ride.
