On Sunday's #Mediabuzz 11 ET:

Ben Domenech said that Donald Trump’s first 100 days have been “dramatic, historic, impressive” from his perspective but “chaotic [and] catastrophic” from the Democratic perspective, and he told co-panelist Leslie Marshall, “You are not going to lecture the Latino member of this panel on this” as she drew into question the popularity of the president’s immigration policies, including his handling of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He also said of Mike Waltz being removed from his post as national security adviser to go to the U.N., “I don’t think Laura Loomer had anything to do with this at all” and it’s part of an internal battle over “who represents the true MAGA foreign policy agenda.”

Leslie Marshall responded to JD Vance suggesting the removal of Mike Waltz could be seen as a promotion by saying, “I don’t think the media want to frame it as a firing, I think it’s common sense … this is not a promotion,” and said that in the president’s first 100 days, “we don’t see prices going down, crime rates going down, the things that the people voted for.” She also said that Terry Moran did a good job “ask[ing] the tough questions” in his ABC interview with Donald Trump about his first 100 days, and “the president, as he often does, pivot[ed].”

Jonathan Turley said that it is “otherworldly to see the media lionize” Judge Hannah Dugan, who “engaged in what does appear to be unlawful conduct” by interfering with the arrest of an illegal immigrant. He also said that while opposing Trump’s lawsuit against CBS, “ … it bothers me that CBS and much of the media are rallying around” the misleadingly edited CBS “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris, adding that “if you look at the interview, President Trump has a point.”

Stef Kight said, “I do think there is an issue with equating influencers with journalists,” after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt started holding separate “new media” briefings with “reporters and influences [who] so far really just kind of lean into the talking points …” She also said, “it’s clear that [Elon Musk] has not made as much progress as he wanted to” at DOGE as he steps away from his full-time role their to concentrate on Tesla, and “ … people have certainly started to not like him as much because of how involved he’s been at the White House.”

Craig Carton said that Bill Belichick’s CBS Sunday Morning book-promotion interview getting interrupted by his girlfriend is “very strange, especially when you consider the fact that, quite famously, Bill was a control freak as the head coach of the New England Patriots.” He went on to say, “We also can’t pretend that the age difference isn’t what’s driving the interest in his relationship,” as the former NFL coach is close to five decades his girlfriend’s senior.
