A Canadian man was forced to jump from a lawn chair he attached to more than 100 balloons and then let take off in the air on Sunday.
Dan Boria of Calgary had hoped to fly the balloon chair across the city and crash the chuckwagon races at Stampede Park, but things began to go awry when he kept getting higher and finally looked down and saw a 747 airplane - flying below him.
That is when he tumbled out of his flying machine and managed to safely parachute down to the ground where he was arrested soon after by police.

Goal: Dan Boria of Calgary had hoped to fly a balloon chair across the city and crash a local festival

Smart: The stunt was meant to promote Boria's cleaning company All Clean natural
'The winds were pretty fierce up there, no doubt...the winds were so strong, it pushed me back,' Boria told the Calgary Sun about his flight.
'I jumped out of the chair and landed about a mile away the grounds.
'I can't specify the altitude I went to...I was looking down at a 747, it was a surreal experience.'
Video of his takeoff shows just how quickly he began to ascend, disappearing from view in roughly 10 seconds as his friends all cheer him on far, far below.
The stunt was also promotion for his cleaning company All Clean Natural, whose banner Boria had attached to the chair.
It was not a cheap stunt however, as while the chair cost just $20, the cost of the balloons and helium to fill them ran the 26-year-old a whooping $13,300.
Only the $20 chair ultimately survived, and was found miles outside the city by Justin Jamison, with 15 balloons somehow still full of helium.
'It was just a chair and some balloons and we thought someone fell out of the sky,' said Jamison.

Bad: The chair - which was tied to over 100 balloons - began to ascend too rapidly, and soon Boria saw an airplane flying below him
'We were wondering 'should we be looking for someone?''
That someone - Boria - was likely being arrested and charged with mischief causing danger to life.
'That chair has to come down and there's the possibility it could land on a person, a vehicle, a house and cause damage...this is where that plan wasn't thought out very well,' said Inspector Kyle Grant.
The risk was worth it for Boria regardless of his arrest and the injured ankle he suffered as he parachuted down, and it seems he may be back at it some time in the near future.
'It was awesome, it was the most fun thing I've ever done,' said Boria.
